Know Your Grower - Clandon Daffodils

The FGWF team were lucky to get out of the office to spend the morning with Ian and Marian Riddell, in Gordonton, Hamilton, at their 15ha Daffodil farm.

Clandon Daffodils is a daffodil grower, that supplies the New Zealand domestic market, including UFG Auckland, Wellington and the Cancer Society. Growing 1,000 different varieties and supplying 100 different varieties for the domestic market to purchase,

Ian has been growing on the property with Graham Phillips since 1996. Clandon Daffodils are responsible for growing some of the only daffodil varieties in the world and goes regularly to America to showcase new breeding types. Clandon Daffodil's produces daffodils from June to October, with a 7-month gap between production.
