The Dried Flower Revival
Much like art and fashion, there’s a theme in Floristry of past trends resurfacing. Once associated with Grandmas beside table, dried arrangements are now appearing in cafes, bars and beauty salons across the country. It’s fair to say that just like every boy band from the 90s, the dried flower is making a comeback.
Who can deny just how versatile dried florals are? They add texture and longevity to every arrangement.
We are starting to see florists specializing in dried flora, with bouquets and commercial installations being particularly popular.
Hydrangeas, roses, eucalyptus and statice are just some of the many flowers that dry well.
Techniques to get the perfect dried bloom, include hanging them upside down, or leaving them in a vase with no water (it really all depends on the flower and stem).
Expect to see more from the dried flower revival, we have a feeling it's only going to get bigger and better.
